Classic Performance now has replacement 5-way adjustable
tilt steering columns for your GM car. Self-canceling turn signals, 4-way
flashers, horn wiring and billet knob kit all come standard with each column.
Each column either has a 1" DD or 3/4"-36 steering shaft and use
an industry standard 3-7/8" GM wiring connector. Columns are available
with or without a column shifter and come in a paintable steel finish. The
1955-57 columns work with the original wheel and dash shift indicator. Tech
Notes: Columns are not compatible with 1957-58 station wagons and four doors.
1963-64 Impala's original column had a dash bezel permanently attached to
the column. An aluminum replacement is included with the column. The 1967
Impala column shift does not have a provision for the original dash indicator.
An aftermarket indicator is required. A 4-way flasher kit is not available
for the '67. The car was originally equipped with a flasher unit. A wiring
harness adapter is included with the column. A new wire harness will be
needed if you have the original wiring harness. All columns will work with
under dash mount. 1955-57 cars will require floor mount, while 1958-67 will
work with original floor mounts.
NOTE: These columns are for
use with 3-4 speed automatics (P-R-N-D-L) and will not work with stock power
glide IRON transmissions (P-N-2-1-R). |
