This new pump solves many of the common installation problems
hot rodders encounter.
There's now no longer any need to hunt for those unavailable brackets or
to attempt the task of fabricating your own. This pump can be mounted virtually
anywhere on the frame, firewall or even the trunk! It helps give your engine
the clean look everyone is after today. Each pump comes with all the necessary mounting
hardware. (An 80 amp alternator is recommended.) This pump is also desirable
on high performance vehicles where a belt driven P/S pump robs valuable
horsepower. Pump measures 10-1/4” long x 5-1/8” wide x 4-3/4”
tall, and weighs 11 lbs. The pressure port is 16MM x 1.5 thread, and the
return port is 18MM x 1.5 thread. This 12 volt pump produces 1140 PSI max
pressure and weighs only 11lbs. If the pump is mounted in the engine bay
you can use 3/8” ID line for both the pressure and return. If you install
it in your trunk we recommend 1/2” on the return line. This is ideal
for hard to fit applications like 6 cylinder engines and oddball V8's that no one makes a P/S bracket for. |
