At Classic Performance Products (CPP) we are dedicated with providing
quality and safe products for our customers. As a continuous effort to comply
with Federal and State laws and regulations, CPP is working with our suppliers
to meet consumer product safety requirements applicable to our product,
including California Proposition 65 standards.
Proposition 65, known as the Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement
Act, was enacted in California in 1986. The Act requires that anyone in
the course of doing business who exposes an individual in California to
a chemical "known to the State" to cause cancer or reproductive
toxicity must first give a "clear and reasonable" warning. For
more detailed information on the Act, please visit the Office of Environment
Health Hazard Assessment website (www.P65Warnings.ca.gov).
Effective August 30, 2018, California is changing its requirements for
warnings under Proposition 65.
In order to ensure compliance with Proposition 65 for products manufactured,
distributed or sold in California by Classic Performance Products (CPP),
all CPP products after August 30, 2018 will carry a new Proposition 65 warning
statement on the packaging. CPP seeks to ensure that this warning remains
on CPP products as they are sold or otherwise delivered by third-parties
to consumers in California. As such, any of the products that are sold or
otherwise delivered to consumers in California must be accompanied with
Proposition 65 warning referenced above. Since CPP products are sold worldwide,
it would be considerably complex to determine which products will be ultimately
sold or brought into California. Therefore, to ensure compliance with Proposition
65 requirements, we have decided to include these labels on applicable products,
regardless of where they might be purchased or sold.
