| This is the product that put Porterbuilt Street Rods on the
map in the C-10 world. They’ve been fine tuning this product for over
five years, and have evolved it into what it is today… Version 3.2!
The round tube and plate construction of the Dropmember V3.2 allows the
component to be both light- weight and stylish, while maintaining the strength,
rigidity and durability of its predecessors. (Versions 1, 2 and 3.) The
Dropmember is a bolt-in replacement crossmember, designed to cure all the
front suspension woes of associated with a lowered factory suspension. It
gives added ground clearance, more responsive rack and pinion steering,
moves the wheel centerline forward and a narrowed trac-width. Basic kits
includes main crossmember, inner frame supports, upper control arm/air spring
mounts, motor mounts (SBC, BBC, GENIII, or In-Line 6), transmission crossmember,
upper shock relocator brackets, tie-rod end kit and billet rack mounting
bushings. Complete kits also include power rack and pinion, control arms,
and air bags. Compressor controls, spindles and brakes sold separately.
Kit workswith all CPP spindle/brake combinations and also with 1971-87 C10
heavy duty brakes. Hood hinge upgrade are available and required when removing
inner fenders to run large wheels. |
